Background:
This game has a quite a following on rec.arts.anime.games. Princess Maker 2 was scheduled to be released domestically on the Sony Playstation, but unfortunately it was cancelled. If you are interested in Gainax games, there is a translated version of Graduation for the PC CD-ROM through Mixxine, the magazine that brings you the Sailor Moon translated manga, among other titles.

The Game:
The object of the game is to raise a young girl into a healthy, intelligent young lady. You decide on how she is raised over a course of several years of her young adulthood starting at the age of ten.

The Good:
The graphics are clear and rather lovely, and the music is pleasant.

The Bad:
The only low ranking I can give about this game is the sound effects, but such a game does not really require much in the way of sound effects. The game's SFX is adequate for the type of game it is.

Overall:
As you can tell from the screen shots, a bit of Japanese reading ability is required to play the game. I wouldn't recommend playing this game on your SNES unless you have a fair grasp of the language. But if you do, then I'm sure that this is a charming game to play. I know a bit of Japanese and can read it to some extent, but not to the extent which this game requires.
